J.W. and I met in collage and we became instant friends, we liked the same painters and the same music. We spent many days (and nights) painting in the studio talking about Chuck Close, Van Gogh, Johnny Cash and The Beatles. I always loved J.W.’s work, he is a very talented painter. He even gave Pawel and I an original piece on our wedding day. When J.W. told me he was getting married I was so excited, I couldn’t wait to meet the woman that stole his heart. I met Amber for the first time a few months before the big day, I loved her instantly. They are so perfect for each other and you can just see the love in their eyes. J.W. had told me about a secret painting he had been working on for the big day. He was going to do a portrait of Amber, himself and their dog in the style of Frida Kahlo's 1931 Wedding Portrait of her and Diego. I was dying to see it and I knew it would be incredible. On their wedding day I got my first glimpse and I wasn’t disappointed, it was lovely. J.W. and Amber’s wedding was full of little artistic touches, including small canvases with painted sunflowers for the people that helped out with the wedding. J.W.’s brother preformed the touching ceremony and after the first kiss the couple took a selfie! The first one as man and wife.
J.W. and Amber, I am so happy that the two of you have found each other, Pawel and I wish you a very happy, healthy and long life together. Congratulations!
